UPDATE ON LIFE

Wow, It’s been a really long time since I have written anything!

Last time I wrote was November 25th 2018!!! Can you believe we are already half way through January of 2019!!! What is even going on?!

The reason why I logged back into my blog today is because I am currently in the process of making my 2019 vision board!

I know it has only been 2 months since I wrote anything, but in those 2 months a lot has happened! I have travelled with Will a couple of times, Christmas and New Years have obviously happened and I have started my own business!!

Yep! That’s right! I have started my own swimwear label – TAQESCH!

How exciting?!?!?!?!!?!

TAQESCH embodies the seductive and sophisticated look of swimwear. My vision for this label is to inspire all women around the world to embrace their inner goddess/lioness and to feel exotic, spicy and confident!!

I have spent hours creating beautiful designs, creating my own website and sourcing quality fabric to help women feel amazing all summer long.

I am currently in the process of getting samples made and TAQESCH should be launching later on this year, and when I get a launch date I will be sure to post it!!

With all of this business planning going on, I have kind of forgotten about writing and I was making my vision board and one of the things I put on there was a photo of my blog page. I don’t want to stop writing, I love writing and I know I am good at it!

I don’t know what i’m going to write about yet, if it’s going to be “how to” posts or fitness posts or personal development posts but all I know is that I will make more of an effort to keep writing this year!!!

And, on that note, I am off to the gym now! haha

Thankyou to all of my readers who have constantly supported me and keep up with my blog, I looked at my statistics page and I still see people on my blog even though I haven’t written in 2 months – and that means so much to me and fuels me to write more!! So thankyou for that!!

TAKING RISKS

Todays post goes back to the concept of this blog and the name of this site….

LOST MILLENNIAL.

Lately, I haven’t been writing cause i’ve just been thinking of a couple of things… 

University right? 

The expectation is to go to uni, study something you love, graduate in 2 years and go work in that field and be on top of the world and earn all the money in the world..

I don’t know about you but it definitely didn’t go that way for me..I went to uni for 4 YEARS!!! 4 YEARS I WILL NEVER GET BACK and just now i’m starting to realise what I want to do with myself. 

I know that I am a smart person, I am creative, I know my numbers, I know my english and writing skills and I know my business skills – I know that going to uni and wasting my life away at something that I don’t want to do just to get an A3 piece of paper, does NOT make me a smart or successful person and if that is your belief…then, I hate to tell you but you are limiting your potential and your own self belief..

Even though it took me 4 years out of high school, I have just now realised that I have my own unique talents…everyone does!

It’s just up to you to find that, and I promise you, you won’t find it if you force it or are scared to find it.

Earlier this year, I wanted to start my own business…but I didn’t, I was scared about money, I was scared that my idea wasn’t good enough and that I wouldn’t make it. I went to Europe and said to myself “as soon as I get back, I’m gonna start it”….and guess what?! 

I still didn’t start it.

And the other day, I just did it – without planning, without thinking I registered my business name and got to work. 

I know i’m going to make mistakes while doing this, I know it won’t be perfect but that doesn’t scare me….what scares me is going to university just go to university and come out with a degree that I don’t care about and then end up in some job that I hate and probably isn’t even relevant to my degree, for what? just to wallow away and say I coulda, shoulda, woulda?  HELL TO THE NO. 

The point is..

GO AND DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO…TAKE THE RISK! Don’t focus on everything that can go wrong, focus on everything that could go right!!

You take risks every day, crossing the road is taking a risk – so what’s stopping you from taking this risk?

You have your own talents that you can offer the world, don’t be scared to take the risk! Life is full of risks and if you don’t take it…

you could be missing out on something beautiful!!

A lot of the habits and routines that we have are built from a very young age. 

Some of these rituals and routines serve us very well in life and other ones not so much, as they may begin to create barriers for us in our progress or relationships and as an adult we are solely responsible for our decisions and actions!!

It’s hard! but then again…what is easy?!

HERE ARE 4 WAYS YOU CAN BEGIN TO ALTER YOUR HABITS!

1. CREATE A VISION BOARD

I love vision boards! I think they are underrated! Creating a vision board will help you understand what you want out of life and the goals you want to achieve. Vision boards work hand in hand with the Law Of Attraction, let your imagination run wild, understand that there are no limits except the ones you put on yourself 

2. PRACTICE SELF CARE 

We give love and attention to the things we most care about. Practicing self care means taking care of ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Be kind to yourself and do those little extra things like taking care of your skin, your hair and positive self talk! They make a huge difference

3. WRITE DOWN THINGS YOU LOVE AND HATE ABOUT YOURSELF

This can be a hard one! I did this the other day and wrote down 15 things I love about myself and 4 things I hate about myself and guess what?! out of all the things I love about myself, I realise that on a regular basis I focus on the tiny amount of things that I hate about myself.  Start focusing on the things you love about yourself!!! 

4. JUST DO IT!

We all have things that we want to do, if it’s starting a business or start working out or to quit your job but are afraid of doing it! Stop worrying and do it!

CONFIDENCE!!! 

Confident people seem to have it all! They do well at everything and always look amazing!! 

Having self confidence is such an important part of life, business and success! Confident people aren’t afraid of failure and are generally very big risk takers. 

But not everyone is as confident at others! Some people doubt themselves, and will shy away from taking risks because they don’t want to fail or be put in an uncomfortable situation…and that is okay, growing and learning is a constant part of life and we just have to be open to it!!

HERE ARE 8 WAYS YOU CAN BOOST YOUR SELF CONFIDENCE THAT ARE NOT DIFFICULT!

1. GOOD POSTURE

Stand up tall! Head up high and strut your stuff – this is the easiest way to boost confidence in the click of a finger! If you are finding yourself nervous, strike a power pose for 2 minutes straight and trust me you will feel so much powerful! 

2. TRUST YOURSELF

You know that gut feeling you get sometimes? GO with it! If you find yourself in a situation where you wanna walk away but you know it’s the wrong thing to do…give yourself a countdown “3..2..1..GO!” When inspiration and power strike, trust your instinct and act on it!

3. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF

Self confidence is made up of good physical health, good mental health, good emotional health and good social health. It is hard to feel good about yourself when your low on energy and not happy with your body. Create time to cultivate good exercise, good sleeping pattern and good eating habits 

4. ACTS OF KINDNESS

Help someone in need!! By helping others we forget about our own problems and feel grateful about our lives. Even if it’s giving $5 to someone in need, helping an old lady up the stairs, giving to charity, or buying a homeless person some food and blankets – you will feel better about yourself!! 

5.VISUALISATION 

Visualise the results you want for yourself! Visualise yourself being confident. Visualisation is key!! and many people do not do it!

6. STOP COMPARING YOURSELF!!

These days people are SO consumed with social media and instagram likes and instagram models and people making money from doing nothing and blah blah blah. People check their phones around 80 times a DAY! No one posts a bad selfie, or a regular dinner, or some fat on their body. We are constantly bombarded with people in BEAUTIFUL places, living their best life and looking flawless. 

These people are NOT perfect and they have issues in their life as well – be proud of who you are and how unique you are!!

7. KNOW THAT FAILURE IS OKAY!

Do you think the most confident person in the world has never failed? Of course not!! People fail every single day, you try, you fail, you try again and you will fail again and that is OK!! Keep it at trial and error and practice makes perfect!

8. BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE!

You are the only you in this world and that’s what makes you beautiful! Be confident in yourself that no one is the same person as you are and you have plenty of strengths to offer to the world!!
